The Seeker

You are The Seeker - Archetype of Knowing

I imagine you often find yourself in the fog of not knowing. Desire stirs inside of you, but when you try to name it, the words vanish. It’s easy to drift into what others want, because your own signal feels faint or hard to access. Your system is asking for more safety and slower listening, so the signal of your true yes can come back online.

The truth is, you’re not broken. You’re in a tender stage of discovery. Your Seeker energy holds the key to curiosity, openness, and the willingness to explore. With practice, the fog can lift, and your body’s subtle yes and no will guide you home to clarity.

How This Shows Up

  • “I don’t know what I want” or I know only in retrospect.

  • Overthinking, pros/cons lists, polling others for answers.

  • Copying what’s acceptable or what worked for someone else.

  • Feeling numb or foggy when asked what you want (in life, work, intimacy).

  • Decision fatigue; avoiding choices to prevent regret.

What’s Underneath (Root Patterns)

  • Conditioning & “shoulds”: Internalized expectations drown out your authentic voice.

  • Safety strategy: If I don’t want, I can’t be disappointed, judged, or rejected.

  • Disconnection: Living from the neck up; the body’s subtle signals feel faint.

Nervous System Lens

  • Common states: Freeze (blankness, numbness), Fawn (orienting to others’ wants).

  • Somatic tells: flatness, fog, shallow breath, indecision.

  • Regulation looks like: warmth returning to the chest/belly, gentler breath, the tiniest sense of curiosity.

Your Gifts (Yes, You Have Many)

  • Attunement and sensitivity; you can sense nuance and possibility.

  • Integrity—you don’t want to perform desire; you want what’s real.

  • When your signal returns, you navigate life with surprising wisdom.

What to Practice Now

  1. Micro-desires (daily): Ask 3–5 times/day: Tea or water? Inside or outside? Rest or walk? Choose without justification.

  2. Body check-ins (1 minute): Hand on heart/belly. Ask, “What would feel 2% better right now?” Honor the first whisper.

  3. De-shoulding list (weekly): Write 3 wants you think you should want. Cross out each and write what your body actually wants instead.

60-Second Somatic Practice

Sit. Exhale longer than you inhale (4 in, 6 out) for six breaths. Gently look around the room (orienting). Place a hand on your sternum and ask, “Body, what is one tiny yes right now?” Let the first small impulse count.

This step is crucial. As we rewire our relationship to knowing what we want it takes repetition and practice, much like building muscles or even learning the alphabet.

Simple, small steps inside of a regulated nervous system is the way to rewire, even if they feel small at first.

Most importantly is to celebrate when you do have clarity arise. What we focus on expands. If you focus on celebrating you are placing a yes onto a new habit and the body loves a good embodied YES!

Language to Try

  • “I’m experimenting with small yeses today.”

  • “I don’t know yet, and I’m discovering.”

  • “Right now, my body is asking for ___.”

Journal Prompts

  • When do I feel even a spark of aliveness? What exactly was happening?

  • Which voices get louder than my own—and how can I lower their volume?

  • If there were no “wrong” choices this week, what would I try?

A Gentle 7-Day Momentum Plan

  • Days 1–2: Three micro-desires/day.

  • Days 3–4: Name one preference to another person (low-stakes).

  • Days 5–6: Choose one 30-minute block to follow curiosity (read, walk, create).

  • Day 7: Reflect on what felt 2% more alive and choose one thing to repeat.

When You Get Stuck

Signal: fog, over-research, defaulting to others.
Repair: pause, orient, one micro-desire, celebrate the smallest true choice.

Your next step: Keep practicing micro-desires. When you feel a flicker of clarity, protect it and celebrate it.
